How this is rated so highly? Because no one has heard of Camel?

Give me a break... There is nothing ground-breaking on this album. It has three memorable tracks. The rest are forgettable. The album is so mellow one listen is enough and you won't come back for more.

The first track Aristillus, is just stupid. It's a terrible opener that doesn't fit with the rest of the album. The song itself goes nowhere.

Song Within a Song is an improvement. There is some nice flute work by Andrew Latimer and the drumming is quite good. The vocals however are just flat out terrible.

The next two songs are forgettable lounge-rock tracks. Chord Change starts decent then gets boring. Spirit of the Water vocals suck and the flute section is annoying. If it was all piano and no flute it could get a pass.

Thank god for the second half of the album because I was nearly blacking out.

Finally the album picks up again with the rocker Another Night. A much better effort with a good driving bass line and keyboard work. Awesome keyboard and guitar solo towards the end.

Air Born is a noteworthy spacey track with nice melody. The bass is awesome and the flute is very fitting. Latimer proves he is the superior vocalist in the group.

The instrumental Lunar Sea is arguably the best track on the album and it's also the last. The guitar here is great and the spacey synth is done very well. Top notch very quick drumming with great fills. The bass also sounds excellent on this track. Definitely one of the top prog instrumentals.

3 good songs = masterpiece? Sorry but no.

I don't know how anyone can view Bardens and Latimer's bluesy jazz jam in the middle section in "Chord Change" as

'forgettable.'

Fozzie is the Grinch and he's working hard each day to spoil the spirit around here.
