finally gave this a listen, from 1st impressions only i can say:

1. It's a little too long, even when there aren't any flagrant 'skip this' moments, it kinda drags at points.

2. Love the more subdued tracks, the ecclectic instrumentation does wonders for janelle's kinda limited vocal delivery (she's great, i don't mean no dis). The more aggresive/upbeat tracks felt a little overwhelming to me, tho. Might turn out to be a non-issue on 2nd listen.

This is leagues better than both following albums

it's more consise. Electric Lady, give em what they want, Can't live without your love, what an experience are among my faves by her and they are all in that album.

Yeah it has 4-5 strong songs but this has 15 amazing ones. The skits really strip Electric Lady of most of its substance, imo.
