I think this is definitely one of the best Opeth albums, but not THE best. It's not better than Blackwater Park.

This is a great album, but definitely not their best. Again there are a handful of dull moments in some songs. Like Harlequin Forest where for 2 minutes, they couldn't decide when to end the song. Also it was overproduced if that is possible.



Still the highlights far outweigh the negatives. Many bands would be lucky to even get close to an album as good as this, and its not even their best.
