Also, I feel what you're saying about PTH and their mindless shreding, Waior. But I believe it's part of their appeal, and it also makes you apreciate the slow parts that much more.

The more I listen to this album, the more i think Colors is better, at least in terms of song writing. Each song on Colors had more of a point to it, and didn't seem like random parts of different songs strung together. Maybe it would have been more effective if some songs were cut up into at least 2 or 3 different songs, and each idea rounded out a little more. I mean, I'm all for long songs, Ants of the Sky is my favorite BTBAM song, but as I said before, the whole song seemed like a flowing collective though. With TGM, the songs didn't feel like complete thoughts to me.

btbam writing one awesome song like that isn't really amazing man. whats disappointing is that they can't incorporate that into their other styles well. so frustrating.
but anyways i prefer Turn Soonest To The Sea over most BTBAM songs :D
