to be fair all thrice that isn't IoS has grown off me heavily, but Illusion is the greatest musical achievement of our time so
in all seriousness, illusion has sidewinder song structures, a staggering quantity of riffs (all of which are good), better lyrics than any other modern p-hxc group, seriously more riffs than your average 50 minute death metal album packed into 39 minutes, oh my god the riffs, a perfectly executed ignant breakdown, multiple epic song structures, time signature play (13/4 in betrayal is a symptom, lots of 5/8 interspersed with 6/8 in trust, a few other examples i can't remember off the top of my head), basically it's the most consistently jaw-dropping album i've ever heard.
