it's always such a challenge to listen to this, but it's always incredible every time I return

It manages to evoke a feeling that nothing else in my library can, it's like a feeling only Swans can create.

When I listened to the full thing I was almost having a mental breakdown. A lot of ncie stuff inside, but it's so energy consuming. Kilos of drone too

The imagery of children suffocating in a damp cave sticks to me during the second half. Fucking hell.

Yea Helpless Child hits hard
|

One of the hardest 5s ever and I've only listened to it once.

Why??

In fragments, sure I've listened to it more than that. But as a whole experience it's a lot to take in. I should probably jam it again sometime soon.

I felt like this at first, but I almost never revisit it and there are plenty of songs here that do nothing for me with repeated listens. The Great Annihilator is much better (but completely different of course).
