Definitely sounds better on that album than here, but different. I like how raw his screaming/shouting was on that album. He was all throaty and powerful.

i dunno dude. i realise the production plays a huge part in making this record what it is (arcarsenal is so dense and subsequently heavy/awesome) but i also feel like this is where they finally started to spread their wings and dip their toe into the pool of experimentalism in which they'd eventually submerge themselves with the mars volta. it strikes that amazing balance between innovation and genre familiarity that lifts a few post-hardcore pillars to a classic status (worship & tribute in particular).

Idk. If not for I/C/O I'd have 5'd this for sure. But I have a review for that alum where I rave about it and I'm too tired to lay out an argument. Both albums are fucking fantastic, I just prefer the more heartfelt nature of I/C/O to the craziness of this one.

had this at 5 for awhile, and while every song is good not every song is as awesome as arcarsenal, enfilade, and cosmonaut. still an awesome album

This is quickly becoming my overall favorite album, I really like Acrobatic Tenement as well.

Damn! This album is loved by this site. I think it's great but not 4.5-5 worthy.

Whoever said that the Vaya EP was better than this. And I personally skip Quarantined when it comes up.

Unnecessary double post is unnecessary.

I like Vaya better because all the songs are solid and flow well. The last half of this excluding Catacombs have some disappointing moments.
