How you dudes doing? :]

I agree completely. A good video game's enveloping story and character development can be just as substantial as any good book, movie or film. Plus it brings in so many different aspects of arts (music, visual art, writing, etc) that I find it downright ignorant to dismiss the entire medium.
Of course not all video games have that kind of artistic integrity, but the same goes for basically any art platform I think.

Resident Evil 4 gets my vote for best game ever made.
|
| |
In terms of sheer gameplay yeah it's definitely up there - top 5. But for everything I love in video games, and from a purely artistic standpoint, my pick would probably be Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus.

I actually tried resident evil 4 and wasn't a fan :/ I really wanted to like it. My vote would go to Shadow of the colossus. One o the best gaming experiences ever.

I can see that. I beat it recently for the first time and never played anything like it. Amazing. I'd also put Bioshock, Half Life 2 and Ocarina pretty up there.

resident evil 4 was the last truly enjoyable resident evil experience, but i'm still a fan of their
older fixed-camera angle playstyle. they were so much more atmospheric, had a much greater sense of
helplessness which i think is essential in a series that purports to be survival horror. games i've
given a 10/10 to:
silent hill
resident evil remake
earthbound
halo combat evolved
metroid prime
arkham city
loz majora's mask
mass effect 2
rocket knight adventures
loz a link to the past
half-life 2
god of war 3
last of us
heavy rain
dbz budokai 3

Halo 3 probably has to be up there in terms of the multiplayer enjoyment.

In terms of story, Bioshock/Infinite both have stories better than most movies imo. Oh and holy shit Metriod Prime, that game always amazes me.
I know RE4 was revolutionary and everything but I just wasn't invested in what was going on. I found it kinda silly tbh.

Funny cos I found everything about RE4 p much perfect. The atmosphere, the graphics, the gameplay, the voice acting etc. Only thing that pissed me off about it was how you had to pause the game in order to swicth weapons, that was bullshit.
|
| |
re5 was enjoyable if you could still enjoy the outdated gameplay from re4 showing up again (if you could move while shooting it'd be the easiest game in the world), and if you could look pass the stupid plot (then again re has never exactly been good at keeping dumb shit out of their plots), even if the creativity was kinda dry
I thought it was fun. Wouldn't pay full price for it tho

Pleb what exactly about Shadow Of The Colossus did you find tedious in particular?
|
| |
Album Rating: 2.5
Just cos the gameplay revolves around one thing you have to do like 7 or 8 times over, wasn't my thing.
