I don't find them boring in the slightest, but I can understand why some may.

Yeah I mean I can see where someone might say it, I'm just curious as to where exactly our esteemed colleague Chuck finds them boring.

too slow, thom yorke is bland as fuck, i dont find them as creative as others seem to - they arent generic alt rock but they arent far from it, etc
they have some good stuff, i like the bends
|
| |
Fair enough on too slow, strongly disagree on Thom being bland.

yeah no big deal, different strokes, i realize im in the minority, but ive come to that opinion not through lack of trying time and time again
i still have this a 7 so i dont think theyre bad or anything, like i said the bends is actually p dam good
where people hold this up as a top album all time and radiohead as legendary is where i start to question and wonder what just isnt clicking for me, its a strange thing to me
|
| |
Yeah not everything clicks for everyone. Clearly you aren't trying to just be contrarian, as you do have it at a decent rating, so I respect your opinion.

I prefer OKC to Kid A, but neither are in my top 2 sooo :P

I mean any Radiohead album except Pablo Honey could reasonably be called their best (though Hail to the Theif and King of Limps would require more reasoning than the others).
But this is the best.

In Rainbows has been solidified as my fave

Album Rating: 5.0
Idk, the first 6 songs here solidify this as my favorite, especially the majestic Airbag. But I sometimes consider Kid A to be equal to this in terms of atmosphere.

i don't think hail to the thief requires much reasoning at all as a favorite radiohead album
probably their most expansive release to date

HTTT is underrated

Album Rating: 4.0
nothing by Radiohead is underrated, more like overrated.

"probably their most expansive release to date"
nah, that would be Amnesiac. HTTF wanders around in the same places for too long if anything
|
| |
Album Rating: 5.0
i don't think any of the tracks on HTTT are similar
neither are Amnesiac's, really, but they still cut a few key tracks in the name of cohesiveness so it's still got more of a focused feeling then hail to me (tho hail does have its own kinda overriding atmosphere)
|
| |
Album Rating: 5.0
those are prob the most divisive RH albums to date though, even with amnesiac basically being a sequel to kid a
HTTT in particular, i've seen that below Pablo Honey on some peoples' favorite Radiohead lists
