Of course the christmas joy is the exception, the rest of the movie is a tragic existentialist drama about the evils of religion, which scarred a whole generation.

Probably right, but for a fair bit of the film Gibson is full on Mad Max-ing it up making strange grunty noises and it’s hilarious.

I think I never saw one of those.

Agreed 2 is my fav, with 3 not far behind
