is there anything you suggest? I learn mostly from tabs but I watch YouTube playthroughs if I’m having trouble.
I guess the next step is actually learning how to read music but idk how that would help with any technical ability

be extremely critical and aware about your picking dynamics and fingering dynamics, the players i knew who never were able to really get better past a given point always had clumsy and static hands/wrists/fingers. ultimate goal should be extreme precision with the least amount of muscle tension, in both hands. better to practice cleanly, lightly, and slowly than quick and clumsily, bad practice will just make you worse IMO and reinforce bad habits

And bad practice is definitely where I’m at rn. I really should’ve just gotten lessons from someone because even though I’m a decent guitarist, I have so many bad habits when it comes to playing.
Like I hardly ever use my pinkie, just another dumb habit I picked up on by trying to learn by myself.

haha yeah take it slow and build your fundamentals, not fretting with your pinky is hamstringing yourself especially for solos and well most chords. be aware of what youre doing when you play, try to identify your bad fingering/fretting/picking habits, and focus on getting rid of those habits, and always focus on clean clean playing
