I wish I loved this album as much as I used to. It was the one that got me into the band and was my favorite Deftones for a while, but I never feel like coming back to it anymore

I'm kind of the opposite, when I first got it it was just kinda like "oh yeah this is a pretty good Deftones album" now I say without hesitation it's my number 1. Just so perfect through and through, without sounding as measured & calculated of a "return to form" as some make it out to be

Part of the problem could be that I overplayed it but Idk. Also when I started listening to self-titled and SNW more I just felt like those albums were a lot more adventurous. This is pretty much solid the whole way through but just seems a bit safe

It’s definitely a safe album, but maybe that’s what they needed at the time after Chi’s death. But that said, it’s a fantastic album and their 3rd best for me.
I’ve definitely overplayed it as well tho unf. Listened literally hundreds of times so I don’t really spin it anymore.
