Christ Illusion is actually worth checking out imo. A couple duds, but I would say it's on par with Divine Intervention at the very least.

Budgie gonna have to check some of that out.. That's all I could think of when I first heard em' sing reminded me of Ian. Joy Division/New Order? It can be depressing, but I was into a lot of that post-punk new wave stuff. Rough adolescence, hit straight home! ha ha

yeah joy division. unknown pleasures is a great album for me but it cuts too deep sometimes so i avoid it, haha.
check weathered statues, dance with me, and the TSOL self titled EP. all excellent off-key punk stuff. dance with me especially, it's a goddamn great album

Christ illusion was solid I agree, it's been awhile, but I think having Dave back for that one really helped slayer out! Oh yeah Budgie it's a slow burner one of those 'doomsday' records so-to speak. I'll have to jot those record down bro, I'm always down for the good shit, especially old punk.

Mandatory Suicide for me (if we're talking about SoH). I usually enjoy playing their groovy/slower heavy songs more, so I can fully get into it, just rock hard and have some space to improvise, rather than bashing double bass the whole time and struggling to keep tempo. then again, maybe I just need more practice with high tempos haha.
