Go to Unhinged in Denver to see them. The lineup for the day they play is insane and is on a Saturday

Yeah that Saturday lineup is fucking wild, too far for me tho and I’ve already seen Converge this year, tbh I’d rather see these guys play a full set.

But these guys, Knocked Loose, Converge, and Dillinger should make for a killer day

I'm actually not sure this shares literally anything in common with Worship and Tribute lmao

The closest thread IT this can really trace itself back with is maybe Dillinger but I think even then they've done a wonderful job taking that schizo core and adding their own bells and whistles to it to fashion their own beast

Right, updated perspective (I was already envisaging to be honest). This is mostly very (amusingly un)cool. The 4 track run of Trout / Lambo / Lemon / Birds does threaten to overshadow the remainder tho. It succinctly encapsulates everything enjoyable about this for me

With the above in mind, coupled with the slightly unwieldy length, I’m starting to see it as two separate EPs / mini-LPs where Birds ends the first “half” - partially due to quality preference, yet it also makes sense flow-wise and to have a 7/6 split due to the monstrous (relative) closer. Speaking of the closer, I maybe should heed the opt out and “challenging” warnings presented because I’m struggling with it (the ‘Bjork bit’ definitely provides a smirk tho).

Its length is my only real complaint about this, as i stated before CT had the perfect run time for me, it never dragged or overstayed. This while fucking incredible, just is a tad long for this style of music for me. The chaotic batshit stuff works when its not an hour or so long for me.

CT is better (current thought). But I prefer the production on this one.

Warming up to this. They're playing pretty close to me in October. I have a feeling I'd enjoy them more live.
