It's a personality difference. The lead singer is known for his sensibility and outspokenness. Cat Stevens first song is I Love My Dogs/Dog? PUP made Sleep In The Heat which is about the passing away of a doggie friend. They really hit the spot.

cool! but i have a request jay. can you tell me what you think of the cleans after listening to the physical copy? Are they over-processed at the source? sry but I very much want to know about this. Because I suspect that the bad cleans that people talked about are actually the result of digitalized for streaming, but I have no way to verify that 🤐

The route for physical copy is source -> physical media

The route for cyber streaming is source -> third party compression (youtube/spotify/..) -> digtial streaming content

The route I use is source -> lossless digital format (bandcamp)



From bandcamp I think source is excellent, so actually I never knew what was wrong with cleans. None of our youtube or spotify currently support lossless yet, so why wouldn't it be possible that there is a loss up there that makes the sound bad? I just want to explore why.

I've compared lossless and mp3 like a hundred times and the difference is miniscule, if not full blown placebo. But again, that's not even what people are talking about.
