Man my Jags continue the trend of embarrassment. And now I don’t even have the Pats to fall back on as my favorite good team. I’m in shambles.
In other news Joe Burrow is quickly becoming one of my favorite players. Dude is a freaking machine. Josh Allen is still my favorite player not associated with the Pats or Jaguars though. Even as a division rival, he is a sight to behold and I have a ton of respect for how he plays and leads.

Jags just really aren't there yet. Thst game against the Chargers probably said more about LA than it did about Jacksonville. Although, if nothing else, y'all have kept competitive in every game thus far.

Yeah considering how much people clowned on the Jags paying Christian Kirk, he has been our best skill player this year lmao. keeping games competitive but still losing is still not great - it's similar to the Lions season last year

Yeah it's rough. Team just can't get over the hump yet. I'm not sure if Lawrence is the dude, at least compared to his super high draft pedigree.

doug also makes boneheaded playcalls all the time and strangely gets bailed out by some of his players who are by no means stars. but we traded james robinson for pennies and misused him after his injury.
lawrence is very skilled but we have to consider that this is his pseudo-rookie year due to the urban meyer situation and he has barely any notable skill players. travis etienne is in his true rookie year due to his injury in the preseason last year, and our defense has some solid young guys like josh allen and tyson campbell who is a top 3 rookie CB and travon walker hasn't been awful and has been the best of the the top 3 rushers drafted this year.
I blame our upper management more than anything. trent baalke is a plague and actively makes our team worse so they can move to london. we bail on talent when they are ready to get paid. we let players like jalen ramsey, leonard fournette, Yannick Ngakuoe, DJ Chark and Calais Campbell walk because we are too cheap to invest in them. i hate jalen ramsey but know he would make a significant impact on the performance of our team.
sorry had to get that all out - i live in new england so rarely talk jags because the pats are really my #1 team but the jags are my pet team and no one gives a shit about them.

we have to believe in trevor and give him a longer leash, especially if we want to keep things stable with doug pederson. the giants did that with Daniel Jones and look at them now. and I would consider Trevor to be a way better QB than Jones was during his first two years.
i also believe pederson can get more stable given time, he's probably one of the best coaches we have had in a while with actual pedigree to his name. not a high bar though, considering our last few coaches were Urban fucking Meyer, Doug Marrone, Gus Bradley and Jack Del Rio (though I have a soft spot for Jack). oh yeah and Mike Mularkey did a one and done going 2-14.

I agree with the fact that the Jags are moving in the right direction. Pats are a bit of a wreck though for sure.
Super not looking forward to Bosa feasting on Stafford again this weekend but I’m gonna grin and bear it here.

Lol that allllllll depends on the Jimmy right? He’s either gonna be amazing or terrible. I could see Aiyuk doing 150+ though lol.
Niners offense tremendously better than Rams. Their defenses are somewhat comparable but Niners still better. At least after this weekend we don’t play each other again lol

yeah the late season games against the Rams always give me heart palpitations
i am no longer keeping expectations for the niners and instead taking it week by week
it's how i survived last season :')

Excited to see what PJ Walker can do with consecutive starts on the Panthers. He was one of my favorites in the AAF/XFL so interested to see if he can stick. Crazy he is starting and actually producing points when on the same team as Darnold and Baker.
If he can post a win and somehow get them in first place in the division, I could see them making a mid-level trade for someone and trying to go for a playoff push. Plus if it doesn’t work out this season having pieces in place in advance of next year helps for team building, especially in a QB heavy draft.

@pencil yeah at least it’s over early this year and not a week 18 showdown like last year lmao. I’m kind of in the same boat as you.Taking it week by week.
@vult Yeah he didn’t look too bad did he! Def interested to see how that goes.
