T/t, the parchment and hell on earth hit as hard as anything they’ve done for me. But also death of the celts, darkest hour etc is Maiden down to the ground

And thus concludes my very slow discog run. Doubled back quite a few times to relisten to various 80s albums but overall what an awesome ride. This album is more solid Maiden. Nothing too crazy but very enjoyable just like most of their output over the last quarter century.

And agreed Muzz that the last two tracks slap hard.

It was an awesome ride! Makes me wanna go and tackle some other classic bands with huge discographies too. Might do Motorhead next, or keep chipping away at King Diamond hah.

The Writing on the Wall has one of the best Adrian solos

I understand people not liking the double album and some tracks (mainly Celts and Lost World) are too long and aimless at many times but some sick af stuff here. IMO Hell On Earth is the best post reunion track, you could feel the fire Steve had writing it.

Titan bro, we may not always agree but I respect that you love the tracks you love and it helps put in perspective that at end of the day its all opinions. Keep it real.

Hells yes brother. I really enjoy Bruce’s final verses at the end of that song and it’s the reason why I like it so much. Top 3 for me.

I have no problem with Hell on Earth being their last song ever.
