Good horror movies, for me, are usually primarily psychological and heavily atmospheric. Suggestion is often more haunting than any cgi or practical effect jump scare or gross out nonsense

lol I guess I just don't like the stuff without monsters and ghosts cause it's often just disturbing. The Final Destination movies are pretty funny though for how ridiculous they are

Yeah that stuff isnt scary for me either but it can be "good-bad" in that its comical. A lot of horror in that vein is really either just "good-bad" or "bad-bad".
But I like being emotionally and psychologically disturbed so atmospheric horror/psych thrillers that deal with more realistic content on the other hand are attractive to me.

There's one kinda good horror movie I've seen called where this chick pisses off an old lady in a bank but the old lady is actually a demon ghost or something, forget what it was called

I've only seen drag me to hell, ED trilogy and spiderman trilogy. I loathe that spiderman trilogy aside from number 3 which is such a disaster than it encroaches on satisfactory in a petty kind of way.

@budgie Beast wasn't a horror movie it was just a really badly written thriller. There was some really good plot stuff tho and I definitely understand why so many like it! I just thought the direction was as shallow as could be. The lead actress was incredible tho, she made it watchable
