i wish the 1975 didnt suck so hard
| |
can't decide if he'd be a more iconic frontman if their music was better, or if fronting the shittest band in the world is actually integral to what makes him iconic to begin with
| |
Yes fronting a shit band is what gives him most his personality

was not at all prepared for a timeline in which “ghetto gaggers” becomes common parlance among d-list pop stars and taylor swift fans
| |
Who is Mat and what did he do
| |
He is white boy with vanilla ice cream on his face and cum of uncertain nationality on his hands
| |
He owns the masters to Rinas music. He also says he likes porn where white men degrade asians and black women.
| |
And then she performed a limp bizkit song

He also makes fun of different voices and he was the singer of a band called 1975.

Healy appeared on the leftist irony podcast The Adam Friedland Show in February 2023.[226][224] He agreed to be a guest partly to provoke a reaction from his fanbase.[6] During the episode, he laughed as co-hosts Friedland and Nick Mullen joked about the possible origin of Ice Spice's stage name - describing her as an "Inuit Spice Girl" - and used Chinese and Hawaiian accents.[227] These comments were later widely and incorrectly attributed to Healy.[228] Healy also joked about watching internet pornography in which Black women are "brutalized".[229][230] In a subsequent podcast episode, Friedland said he had mentioned Ghetto Gaggers because he found the alliteration in the title funny and did not "even know if [Healy] was watching that." In an interview conducted in early March 2023, Healy told The New Yorker that the controversy was "people going, ‘Oh, there’s a bad thing over there, let me get as close to it as possible so you can see how good I am.'" He admitted to "oppositional" behaviour and "exaggeration of my shit" over the previous 18 months, but described himself as "really quite anxious": "I’m getting something out of my system."[224] By early April 2023, Healy had deactivated his Instagram account, stating during an Adelaide concert: "The era of me being a fucking arsehole is coming to an end. I've had enough. I perform all the time and it's my job and I love doing this but I can't perform off the stage anymore as I just want to be a bloke."[231][232] At a concert in Auckland later that month, Healy said his joking had been "misconstrued" and apologised to Ice Spice: "I’m so sorry. It's OK for me to be like, a trickster or whatever, but I don't want to be perceived as mean-hearted ... I am genuinely sorry if I upset her 'cause I fucking love her."[233] He expressed regret for past actions: "I've been a bit irresponsible. I don't like being famous. I make a joke out of everything and I've taken it too far sometimes in front of a lot of people and I feel embarrassed. That's the truth."[23
