I really like how Nutshell transitions into I Stay Away. It feels almost optimistic and then I Stay Away starts off feeling like that too.

Absolutely buddy, opening guitar line of i stay away always brings a smile to my face. But of course, the song overall ends up feeling crushing.

Yeah Balls it's a very post-modern view to take, meaning is created by the consumer not the creator etc it's interesting stuff
for me personally it's like Nutshell and Rotten Apples just start off in the absolute depths of hell, I Stay Away is a bit of optimism struggling against that feeling but ultimately losing out, No Excuses and Don't Follow are still quite down but musically moving towards an optimistic ending, Whale & Wasp is super calm and meditative, and then Swing on This reminds us that life isn't all doom and gloom and the positivity wins (at least until you start playing the t/t). nothing on this is superfluous imo

Yeah the fact that a 30 minute acoustic EP is able evoke nearly the full spectrum of emotions makes this a 5 for me

haha yeah i just realized how much time i spend (waste?) on this site these days. Like literally 4+ hours a day if you add it up. I can now see why reviewers go on hiatus and shit because its eats up all your time, but its more productive then having 4 hour masturbation sessions i suppose.
