I just remembered this part where they are talking to the guy who mixed their album because that guy was saying that they should write hit singles and make money but the band was arguing that they could do that if they wanted but they would rather write good music

You know how the timeline between the album announce date and release date was pretty short? Like usually a comeback would be months and months of hype, right? Looking back now, that might be a good thing given the overwhelming disappointment for this album.

I can imagine if there was months and months of hype and press for this same album, the average rating would probably be 0.5+ points lower just due to sheer rage lol

There is a lot about this to like but they just made some really odd and lame choices with the songwriting
