Possibly the thing I appreciate the most about this band is that they recognize this style of music is best served in shorter bursts of songs instead of self-indulging with overly long tracks that could quickly turn this from an enjoying listen to a painful one.

Counterparts has learned a lesson many hardcore bands don’t. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it, just make slight improvements upon the already existing formula. It just so happens that their formula is exquisite.
