You can still rate things very lowly and believe a band has potential even if it's been a whole lot of albums.

Exactly what would you be basing this belief in "potential" on?

They have a very talented guitarist/drummer and underutilized them both each album with bad songwriting. The debut was pretty good instrumentally at least

and they've got creativity and drive, they just don't put it all to good use

Why is the songwriting bad? How would you like to see them improve it?

They're only possibly the most influential metal band of the decade. If only they had put that creativity and drive to good use!

not be so childish

find notes within spencer's vocal range"

Literal nonsense. Imagine levelling this sort of criticism at any other band. "Gosh! If only Metallica wouldn't downpick so much, if only Mustaine would stop singing so nasally, if only Meshuggah wouldn't tune their guitars so low then they'd fulfil their potential!" xD

"expecting a singer to sing well, when his bad singing ruins the mood, is bad criticism"

"find notes within spencer's vocal range"

Using this is the basis for your criticism is bad criticism. Even KILL admits that Spencer can hit the notes.

Yeah, and those death metal and hardcore vocalists should learn how to sing too.

"You're joking right? "

Name a more influential and copied metal band from the past 10-15 years.
