This was fun but nothing I'd revisit. Album's like enticing at times but equally off putting same goes for her voice it's super sweet and innocent and whatnot but somehow manages to be annoying.

I could absolutely despise this and my point would still stand. shit, I like radio pop so it's not something I'd distance myself or an album I like from
but I guess that goes to show that the main criticism of this album boils down to "it's sounds like radio pop"

Selena Gomez could easily sing California the production would just change but the way the song's constructed is ideal for radio. That aside, some people think it's shitty radio pop, they're not faulting the album for being radio pop.

Well that's what I mean. Y'all think it's not radio pop because of the way Grimes produces - the high pitched vocal and kinda different instrumentation. But at the end of the day, album relies on hooks and regular pop pacing, which is fine but you've got to understand that you like it for what makes it poppy, not in spite of it

no. idk why ur tryna speak for other people and why they like this album lmao but check this out. nobody's saying it's not pop or even radio friendly pop at that, everybody realizes this (at least I hope). in fact I like this because it's streamlined. yall need to chill with this patronizing straw man that people don't even realize why they like this album or are ashamed to admit it's radio friendly
the point being made is that it doesn't really sound like/ripping off anyone in particular as is being insinuated. i mean ur basically making the same point in the bolded part so. you can be different and still be radio friendly you know, and as plane mentioned there are plenty of artists in the top 40 that fit the bill
