Listened to the new singles for the first time. They were really good, but a little tame. It's the direction I want them to go in, but I hope there's some more punchy songwriting on the rest of the album.

The vibe I get from the reviews so far is that these singles are pretty representative of the general sound of the album, just lacking the peaks and valleys that'll make the other tracks stand out more. It's also apparently one of those album that works best as a full listen all at once. Soooo stoked.

I love most of this, I just think the dxc sections sound out-of-place and probably just should have been omitted.

I think the studio vids they've put out are great. Got some great sounding stuff on them.

I think thats kinda what they where going for in Return to Earth... having a simple hook with miniscule dynamics but the track progresses into a much huger sound by the end, if there was a more dynamic vocal i feel like that would ruin that, to me its like someone trying to maintain their composure but really theres a whirlwind of thoughts in their mind

The Monochrome songs are fucking gorgeous. The repeating melodies between the two songs are so well done. Clairvoyant is my AOTY so far, it's the sound I always wanted them to go in.



Top 3 songs right now are; Monochrome (Passive+Pensive), Clairvoyant and Relapse (that riff at 2:25 :P). I wish people would stop looking for the breakdowns and just get enveloped in the sound of it, it's so spacious and lush with just the right amount of power when it's needed.
