Thanks CaptainDooRight! We worked very hard to make it a worthy followup to Woodfall so I'm really happy to hear you're enjoying it.

Inheritance is gorgeous, with beautiful arrangements, and is just an incredibly rewarding listen overall. It might even surpass this one with regard to songwriting.

Thanks @Meridiu5, glad to hear you’re enjoying Earth and Sky! Speaking of the East Coast, I grew up in Nova Scotia which is where Disc 1 was recorded.
I appreciate the feedback @Elynna because that was exactly what we were going for.
Album is out now!

I feel like this is definitely my fave of the three Musk Ox LPs thus far, something about the way it flows that makes it stand out
what are the prominent genre 'staples' then? I know bugger all about neo-folk. Vali is on my radar already... seems popular

Vali and Tenhi would be two obvious recommendations, also Ulver's Kveldssanger if you haven't heard it.

Oh cool, thanks. Yeah, I should definitely check the Ulver album, I've heard some of their stuff already and knew that was supposedly their 'folk album' (despite it also being part of the so-called 'black metal trilogy')
