cos it's like an old friend you've hung out with before, had some good times with or people have told you that they're a pretty awesome guy/girl and that you should totally meet.
new band is an unknown quantity. could be a total butthole.

I disagree hard about The Seer. I found that album very boring and disjointed where this works all the way through for me.
