Maybe I should relisten to this, but I doubt I'll ever rate this a 4.5. It was impossible for me to get into this last year, and I tried too.

I didn't like this like I do at first but it was never a 2.5 (I think it started around 3.5). But I kept catching small nuances with listens and opened up to the production and the atmosphere it creates and I enjoy this more than Marrow and PF now

There's no excuse for a band as talented as Agalloch to record a track as bad as the Birth and Death of the Pillars of Creation.

Agreed. This blows when comparing it to Ashes, The Mantle, and Pale Folklore. I would probably have liked this better if it was the first Agalloch album I heard.
