Boney Dream will always be their best, Melloncollie gets boring, Dream, is all the way through, plus nobody really fit the grunge sound, because I am not sure what it is exactly, they are not like Pearl or Nirvana, but that is a good thing in the end, most bands got lumped in to make a full movement, otherwise it would e like 2 big bands, Alice, and many others are not really grunge as far as I am concerned

I can hear the 'grunge sound' in Alice In Chains, just like the other contemporary bands. Albeit, Alice In Chains dabbles with more Metal than Rock unlike some of the other acts. In my mind they all belong to Alternative. A sub-genre of other genres, it's asinine. Grunge/Alt in that time-period were one of the same ballsack I'd reckon.

Eddie Vedder is pretty good at singing the "Duhn-Duh-Duhn-Duh-Duh-Da-Duh" and the "Ahahahahaha EIEIEIIEIEIIEIIIIIEEIIEIIE" but the actual words? Na.

Who guves a fuck about genre labels unless you're some elitist. Enjoy the music or whatever all 90s rock sounds mostly the same anyway
|
| |
But without genres how can I feel élite?

Genres are everything to me

Bud, I wasn't being serious, just a silly take on it. I think it's 'asinine', really.

"Per "Dead" Ohlin = Kurt Cobain if he was a Swede"
I like this. Also, Hellhammer = Dave Grohl if he was a Norwegian.

I'd say Fenriz is more like Dave Grohl but that's still a pretty good one

could not agree more
Titan, maybe because I have a more personal connection with Dream, but it still sounds awesome, the ambiance is great

It was the 'record' Titan, clicked immediately, but I've fatigued myself.
Like I was saying the other day I think Mellon Collie rewards more repeated listens.

i agree with you Jeff, Siamese was jammed non stop back then.....guilty!.....listened 1000X i bet haha......it all started with Today, and the video for it........but then listening to it again afetr a very long time, it is no where near as good as it was then......i was disappointed because i loved it so much
Mellon Collie has only gotten stronger for me, especially due to the depth and diversity that the album offers......one of the few double albums done right, especially in 'modern' times

It's one of my favorite Doubles in general, I think? It's really a fantastic record, no doubt about it. Oh, yeah; I'm guilty as shit too Titan ha-ha, and with that reasoning, I can't disagree, makes perfect sense!
