ive seen interviews of chuck not too long before he died and after the sound of perseverance came out, he sounded just like he always did. the tumor isnt why his voice got higher. he either wanted to go in that direction or his vocals were getting fucky from all the years of harsh vocals (unlikely though, as these vocals sound even more strenuous than the deeper ones).
