well idk some people will tell you it's people who just follow trends, i.e. people who buy macs/iphones/got twitter accounts before fucking kelloggs and the pope decided to join in
some will say it's people who pretend to like something to seem cool
some will say it's a fashion thing i.e. big glasses cardigans whatever
I personally think those definitions are really dumb and generally use it to describe people who like obscure stuff and enjoy enjoying those things in little circle jerks, trying to keep ahead of the curve and looking down upon the mainstream before jumping onto the next thing when the "mainstream" tries to join in like a fat person who dive bombs into a jacuzzi.
Although I rarely ever use the term seriously and generally just tease people with it cos the whole concept is kinda silly anyway
