"obviously" - yeah, I just don't see the point of this since people have always found ways around it (not like that's any hard) and nobody still believes in this puritanical bullshit so the law is pretty much ineffective - but it still remains in every single Anglosaxon country which just baffles my mind. Also, that is total bummer. Like, seriously? I mean, considerin the U.K. still has one of the highest per capita alcohol consumptions in Europe I'd doubt these early "closing times" actually achieved anything. That's one of those things I like here, we've just accepted alcohol as a cultural commodity and unless you pull shit when you're drunk nobody is going to bother.



Then again, UK politics look pretty messy right now.

Us Brits don't drink responsibly as a nation and the policing for it isn't too good either. You Germans are cultured in booze and whatnot and are kinda brought up with it, we are a nation of drunks unfortunately haha.
