It's definitely the most energetic and chaotic Thursday album, therefore it's close to the top for me too
The only track they played from it when I saw them a week ago was Beyond the Visible Spectrum, it was super rad but I wish they played more from it. As He Climbed the Dark Mountain would've made me cum

I'm seeing them in Kansas City next week and I really hope they play more than just one song off of Common Existence. I'm guessing it'll be just one maybe two like when you saw them.
Did they play much off of No Devolucion?

Only two tracks, No Answers and Turnpike Divides. Also two tracks from City, but it was mostly Full Collapse and War All the Time

Unless the majority of their set was from this and City I personally wouldn't be that excited about seeing them.

"Only two tracks, No Answers and Turnpike Divides"
Kudos to them for picking the best two.

It was a great show regardless but some more variety in the albums would've been nice. Geoff still sounds great doing the old songs

I think this is my favorite Thursday, but past that it's almost impossible to rank. Also I actually really like Lovesong Writer, couldn't tell you why.

Fuck, for real with them still playing songs from War all the Time. Such better material out there.

the songs on war rule live tho. division street and for the workforce especially work great live
|

Yea dude War All the Time is actually a sick album. Signals Over the Air was such a jam at the show

wish they played more from city when i saw them. all i got was other side and at this velocity
they played like half of full collapse tho including how long is the night tho so i prob shouldn't be complaining

Sure, play division st and for the workforce. Two songs. Im ok with that. Any more than that is overkill, the album's 14 years old and not all that great.

Im resigning to the fact that my thursday opinions are largely unpopular lol

At This Velocity would've been sick

it ruled so much yeah
off of war they played workforce, divsion, signals, falling bomb and the t/t (as an encore along with you were the cancer). all of which were outstandingly performed

yeah they played a lot of old stuff when i saw them last year. some of the deeper cuts tho were sugar in the sacrament, other side of the crash, circuits of fever, and beyond the visible spectrum.
was sad they didn't play anything from this, but they put on such a good show i didn't care too much.

How the hell are they not playing anything from this?
The first four tracks, along with Past & Future Ruins, A Gun in The First Act, Turnpike Divides and Stay True? Not sure how they're not finishing off EVERY set now without Stay True.

i agree so hard
whats even more ridiculous is the fact that there are fans out there that only like full collapse/watt
Because of the mixed reception their later albums got I feel like Geoff thinks that is all the fans wanna hear, he even acted shocked when people knew the words to stuff from common existence.

Tbh, the standard of their recent setlists in general is so strong that I'm not fussed about the balance of albums (although maybe a bit less FC and more CE/this) - they have a very strong discography and it shows live
