Always thought this sucked more than their last effort, but that and this passed each other.
Now I like this way more than Reflektor.

I do get what you mean, there are no real highlights tbh, but it flows so sweet.

how does this album compare to the rest of their discog?

Album Rating: 3.5
I thought it was their weakest, but it's at a 3.9 average so what do I know?
I'd say it's a bit slower than their previous two records, but just as good musically.

This is their second best for me, right on the verge of a 5.
It's definitely a bit slower and it's not as emotionally pummeling as Funeral but it's still excellently written and conceptually cohesive.

Easily my favorite, but I have just about their entire discog 5'd so that's not invalidating the rest of their work.

Least favorite AF album so far (I have a feeling that Everything Now will soon have that title), but still it’s really good and I often feel I’ve underrated it.. “Suburban War” is one of their best songs that wasn’t on Funeral.

something just clicked the whole way through

Unpopular opinion: Flatland is one of their best songs.
