Charles Bissell and Kevin Whelan are the two vocalists.



The things I've read heavily infer that Kevin Whelan has the softer voice and sings (writes) the songs with more overt and direct lyrics i.e. Happy, Hopeless, Boys You Won't, and 13 Grand (I'm pretty sure).



While Bissell is the one that sings on She Sends Kisses, This Boy is Exhausted, Faster Gun, Everyone Choose Sides, and 13 Months.

yeah this went from (some time over a year ago) 3.5 to 4.0 back to 3.5 back to 4.0

then jumped to 5.0 within the next few weeks (which was about 2 months ago). ^_^



although that's a very similar progression that all of my 5.0s have gone through, except spirit of eden.

I first listened to this 3 years back and only now am I revisiting it. Contrary to a lot of users I seldom give my rating before it's somewhat decisive in my mind.



What hasn't changed since then is the disappointment I get when the upbeat part in 'Happy' starts.

But happy is like one of the very best on here. And the happy part of happy is ridiculously cathartic, man.

also jeffle if u like music from the perspective of an 'asshole' protagonist i find p. much all The Afghan Whigs and Scrawl's stuff really refreshing, look into them if you haven't already i reckon
