I don't know, I went back to listen to White Pony and it had more of a nostalgia feel where SNW and this one are direction I like where they are going. I mean, even the self titled to me is stronger than White Pony, and I know I am a lone on this, but after going through their catalogue again, that is where I stand. I remember buying White Pony the day it came out, I was 17, and I loved it to death. I still think it is great, but now at 27, I find their albums after that more enjoyable and awesome. This one I think is becoming my favorite though for sure.

Yeah, I just into them fairly recently over the past 4 months or so and at first I liked most their other ones actually more than WP, it wasn't until really recently that I got into that album. This ones a grower too and I didn't like it as much at first either but each time it gets better. I could see myself liking this one the most in a while.

An absolute Top Draw Album.........Personally Deftones have been one of those bands that have always had just the right mix of heaviness, melody and atmosphrere for me - The Cure(ish) guitar on Beauty School takes me back to the day I bought Disintigration the day it came out and lived in the album for a good couple of years. Everything I bought was judged against that album for at least 2 years.
I have a feeling that this album may have the same effect.................(I only hope)............

976Evil and This Place is Death are a great close to this. They've both grown on me so much. CMND/CTRL has been another grower for me too. Your bird has good taste lol
