I am old but still hate this oldy, well my rating puts it at good, mostly because of the attitude and punk stylings, but the music is bad at best, besides Holiday, which I like. If they could have played a lick this would be an easy 5, but I guess that is punk. all the accolades for this should be given to the Damned who were as punk, cool , and had a clue how to play

Neither the Damned or the sex pistols have a clue how to play.

"Yeah but The Damned knew how to write better music"
That's probably why I prefer The Sex Pistols by a small margin.

you can tell a lot about someone's music integrity based on their opinion of this album - but there aren't many albums that reveal so much about people but this is one

I have loved this album since I was 15 and in my mid 30ies now I still argue this album is flawless from beginning to end.

"Yeah but The Damned knew how to write better music" The Damned are great, but so is this album.

what is so great about this album in your opinion?

i just genuinely dont get it, it just seems like boilerplate punk to me (although i understand thats maybe testament/due to the pistol's influence)

I just think every song here is as good as the last one and that the albums flows perfectly. To me it was one of those albums that I just got the first time I heard it and to me it hasnt aged at all since.

The right album at the right time sort of thing I think.

The sense of anger, dissatisfaction and a put in stone shaking rallying call for dissent on this thing is as raw, real and timeless as it gets.

You think otherwise you’re a rush fan or brat.

Crass were far better at representing dissatisfaction and had more to say about the state of the world than the Sex Pistols did.
