I don't find it 'boring'; I just don't find it inventive or exciting. I feel like I might as well listen to something else, you know?
It's like... so luke warm that it satisfies no preferred temperature at all. It's so colourless; that it's just sheer, empty white.
It's just safe, family music. =/
And when everything quietens down; neither of them have anything to say but what keeps me hopeful is that with such little change; I could really enjoy them. I'd like more subtlety. Meaning not every song needs some grand climax. =/
I do think every new band deserves a chance even if I didn't like the first album because great things can be done in a year or two (or more obviously) especially with music. =)

a less 'lazy and boring criticism' than the word boring?

maybe you aren't reading it in the right mood to make an insightful judgement? maybe don't just
write this criticism off, you never know it could turn out to be one of your favourites!

instead he made a simple comment on how he felt about this
album. clearly what he felt it is that it's boring. i don't know why
