pierced is a classic example of “leveling up” I.e. every part of this that’s good is just a lil bit better in pierced: better, more technical riffs, better drumming, better lyrics and vocals, better production. it’s only probably about 5% better for each part but that’s enough to make it stand pretty clearly above this one for me.
