I know, it's weird Dewi. Liberty Bell is such a cutie!!

And omg that vid 💖😍 It's one of my fave live performances for sure. They way it builds towards the end and how all past and current singers join Anneke for those last gorgeeeeoouuuuuuussssssssss minutes. Shivers.

Don't know where to put it, but I'll get to see Habitants in Roadburn Festival in April. So happy to see Rene live!

https://roadburn.com/band/habitants/

Formed by The Gathering’s guitarists RenĂ© Rutten, Habitants features the ethereal vocals of Anne van den Hoogen. The pair are joined by guitarist Gema PĂ©rez, bassist Mirte Heutmekers and drummer JerĂŽme Miedendorp de Bie, creating gently swirling melodies and an immersive, atmospheric sound. Their debut album was released in 2018, but with a new record – titled Alma – on its way imminently we can expect to see much more of Habitants in the months to come.

I saw Habitants on Sunday. And it was a nice concert, they seemed a bit tense at the beginning but after a couple of songs, everything went right. And Rene sounded great of course!

I gotta try this again. After Souvenirs this sounded kind of weak to me. Definitely loved some of it, but not rly sure about the package as a whole

Souvenirs is so tightly written around That One Goth/Noir Trip-Hop Sound that it's kinda claustro to me (in a good way lol, that's why I love it) -- think this a totally different fix, much more structurally and aesthetically diffuse, and built on relationships between very individually distinct tracks. Almost feels more like a zany constellation more than a start-middle-finish tracklist? Defs get being miffed by it in relation to Souvenirs, but there's so much to dig into here that it's worth the effort imo
