LUlz.. Why must these dudes say stuff like this here. No wonder i get fucked with, people that like this are usually not that bright in their speech. lol

Unfortunately true. Music like this a bit dumbed down, and although there's nothing wrong with that, many dumbed down people listen to this. Still a great record... might have to bump my rating.

a fun, energetic metalcore album as opposed to the depressing, slit-my-wrist metal core that started the genre and is still quite common. when have you heard a screamo song with the same energy as Not The American Average? please give me an example, please. id love to hear it.

@ Tomorrowistuesday Check out Adept's Another Year Of Disaster, IMO one of the best metalcore/post-hardcore albums of all time.

@tomorrowistuesday, there are lots of band on Metalcore that bring incredibly energetic music to the scene, it's not just AA, god forbid. I get your point but man, but there's a lot of good Metalcore around, not every Metalcore is wrist slitting, how did you say that. I've seen your ratings and you seem to know better. lol
Those lists Acanthus left you there are awesome, should give you a good insight of what bands developed the genre. I for one am not very familiar with all the "old" Metalcore bands either.
