Because it's pretty fucking sweet, alright? But the tendency I'm seeing in people here to liken modern death metal with deathcore is worrisome. I know the hardcore influences have spilled everywhere like a fucking plague, but people should be able to say when something's just death metal.

Bro I like death metal way more than deathcore. Just because Akeldama had more breakdowns doesn't mean I liked it more. The songs were better on Akeldama. Again, my opinion. The Faceless is a death metal band. They are not deathcore. Just because they played breakdowns on their first album doesnt make them deathcore. Death metal bands use breakdowns too.
