Objectively this is probably their best, but Pale Folklore is still my fav, just because it was the
album that got me into the whole folk/black metal thing.

I agree with both Angel and Metallic. Pretty much a tie between the two.

2:30 on "I Am the Wooden Doors" is incredibly similar to the acoustic section of Ulver's "Hymne I".
|
| |
Yeah and the end of Limbs is the same melody as the mid section of Hacksaw to the Throat's The Descent.
And about a million other songs in the world have similarities as well, there are only so many ways you can arrange 12 notes.

I think the relation is closer here; I'm pretty sure Ulver was a large influence on this band.
|
| |
I doubt they blatantly stole the melody, like i said, you can only arrange 12 different notes so many ways.

I just think it's similar, not implying theft. I love how "A Celebration For The Death Of Man" picks up again at the end of "...And The Great Cold Death Of The Earth".
|
| |
Yeah i gotcha.
And that's one of my favorite parts about this album, is that repeated chord progression from A Celebration. It shows up a couple of times i think.
