Could Never Be Heaven is really the only song holding this thing back. I skip it every time I listen to this album these days.
Rest of the album is damn near perfect

Also kinda wish Out of Mana went harder on the vocal front… you have one of the most hard hitting riffs on the entire record right out of the gate and then it just mellows out, I always was a little iffy on that

I was incredibly hyped when El Paso was released
As for weaker tracks here, I think CNBH and Waste about covers it even though they're both good songs. They just slightly pale in comparison to the rest of this. I've seen comments about Desert and No Control before, but the former has an incredible message and the latter's grunge vibe & crazy outro make it feel uniquely worthwhile.
Out of Mana could have had heavier vocal delivery, but I feel like the aim of this whole record was to show that they can write an album that isn't angry and still have it be beautiful.

I’ve never read a less relatable sentence in my life. How can anyone be miffed by pretty intricate little acoustic track with lyrics that rich & vivid

I’m not throwing shade when I say this but it’s funny that this is pretty similar to our takes on Chelsea Wolfe, specifically Birth of Violence

Totally agree! Feels like a dull b-side/outtake. Not a big fan of Desert either. But everything else is very good-to-amazing.
