good lyrics are not a requirement. one of my favourite albums ever has almost nonsensical lyrics for large portions of it. but good lyrics can elevate a decent song to a great one

Bad lyrics ruin shit for me depending on the genre. In hip hop they can certainly ruin it. In metal as long as you cant understand them its ok

Well, Drifter was my account throughout high school and I look back on most of my moves on there as very cringey so this account was an attempt to distance myself from it without flat out deleting everything. It's also for rerating everything since many of my ratings on there are outdated.

Essentially, I made this for a fresh start

Also yeah the vast majority of my hip hop ratings are west coast so my knowledge is very uneven so I'm definitely not an expert when looking at hip hop as a whole
