Saw them for the first time back in June. They were incredible. Even better than I had imagined. Played for 2 and a half hours. Nearly about as perfect of a setlist as you could expect (one or two glaring omissions). Enjoy!

Not saying what he "allegedly" done was right... But if people are allowing Trump to run a country, Jesse playing a bit of music is hardly the end of the world. The guys clearly made some mistakes, and from what I've read, abused his powers to manipulate and I'm sure everyone knows about it by now. It was the main topic between fans last night, believe me nobody agrees with what he did. But at the same time, fans were saying how incredible they were too, better than they've ever been before. I'm definitely conflicted by it all. Maybe it's rose tinted glasses, but I haven't seen a performance like that in 20 years of attending gigs. Should I hate myself for that, maybe? I dunno. But it certainly feels frowned upon to admit that.

That being said, I totally understand why people are calling him out for it, I don't agree with it either. But I don't believe for one second that he's doing these shows to abuse or manipulate more fans. Whether or not he should be profiting from it is another question entirely.

You shouldn't hate yourself for going to the gig and like I said on the last page, the first time I saw Brand New in 2011 is one of the best shows I've ever been to, so I understand the allure. But don't try to sweep his bullshit under the rug and stand there like Kevin James with his hands in his pockets. Jesse was a huge creep and a groomer, and while he's probably not doing any of that now, we shouldn't pretend it wasn't actually that big of a deal.

I honestly don't know the full story. Probably using quotes on "allegedly" sounded a bit sarcastic, but I don't know the complete truth of the situation.

I admitted I don't agree with what he has been doing, but I'm hoping he can change and become a better person. I hope he's had time to reflect and understand the weight of his past decisions. You can either forgive somebody and give them a chance at redemption, or don't. And to those who can't or won't forgive him, I wouldn't begrudge you for that.

I don't think it's really our place to forgive Jesse since he didn't wrong us. The issue a lot of people have (including at least one of his victims) is that he's being given the same platform that he used to groom minors. I think the argument to be made is that even if he's a changed person, he shouldn't be given the opportunity have that platform again.

I mean, if you're going to publicly announce that you went to see Brand New, I don't think you should throw a fit about people that say supporting the band is bad. If you have to bring up Donald Trump in your defense of seeing an artist, I think that says enough. I'm not giving you shit for seeing them but I think it's silly to get upset for receiving pushback after telling people you went to a Brand New show when you know exactly what you're setting yourself up for.
