This album generally consists of good moments rather than good songs. Ants of the sky and white walls are the only 2 that aren't plagued with massive suck, should prob bump my rating down

Right, Metal Archives is definitely better as a database than as a community/review site

It's weird because when I fuck around here and say shit like "This is literally more essential than the creation of all living things and if you don't agree then you're a fucking cunt and should be beaten to death" it is rightfully taken in jest, but on metal-archives it seems to be common place to actually act like that with sincerity and think it is somehow socially acceptable.

But agreed, it's a great database until it doesn't include shit like BTBAM because it's not trve enough lmao, bunch of pretentious cunts

It just shows how cancerous the metal community can really be

That's why I use MetalMusicArchives. It's made by the same people who created ProgArchives (with a similar layout and such), and it's much more relaxed about its inclusions and has much better reviewers

@Soccer- Oh damn, never heard of that but I used to use ProgArchives all the time back when I listened to way more prog in college. Will check that out now.
@Demon - Aha, it's all for humor - I don't think I've ever directed that language at any person here while being serious - product of my NY/Boston upbringing

What's cool about MetalMusicArchives is that even outlier genres like nu-metal and crust punk have their own section on the site because of their association and influence on metal as a whole. So, along with your typical metal genres like death metal and thrash, bands like Discharge and even Korn get their fair share of attention. It's really cool to see

Digging it already m/
And yeah, I always found it weird how bands like Slipknot were never there either. Like sure, it might not be your type of metal but it's still obviously metal and has had a major impact on the scene.

lol its cuz they dont consider nu-metal to be metal cuz they're giant pussies who cant handle their favorite genre becoming mainstream
if u look at a lot of the early reviews, albums used to be judged for being too "mallcore" lmao...which is a dumb term that exposes their insecurity
