Barker, or Mikron perhaps?
It's a bit silly that I haven't heard this yet.

Yes, but if sput had a varied staff roster (thank fuck Deviant's back), we wouldn't have this problem would we now

case is usually staff isn't as adventurous as they think they are

Ngl the potential for the list to be a total disaster has me doubly excited. It's got a lot of scope to impress me, so I'm hyped to see where it goes.
That said, I'm not a heavy electro fan and approx 10% of my draft personal list still falls into that ballpark so it'll be disappointing if the site dips even lower

The correct choices for techno are Voices From the Lake and Andy Stott

"case is usually staff isn't as adventurous as they think they are"
As if putting Kacey Musgraves at #1 last year wasn't a masterclass in adventure

Lol, yeah an adventure of a different kind... i.e. the way to cause disillusionment in the userbase.

Listening to shite like hotelier or menzingers makes you adventurous yeah

Am in the dubiously fortunate position of knowing around half of my top 10 will be going nowhere near the staff 100, so have a limited amount to lose from it to begin with :/

There's nothing with that, Johnny. It would be more annoying seeing a list with a hundred albums, out of which you enjoy ten, didn't like seventy, and the remaining twenty you'll check out to be disappointed in the end.

Oh yeah, for sure! I'm not feeling a downer until I see it, but hoping it doesn't wind up like that. The 00s list was generally excellent, so it's going to be a tough one...

The 00s list was compiled for the most part by a different staff roster, I believe.

I'm really bad at knowing what I will like before listening, my radar is often way off. It's all part of the experience, but slowly I'm learning not to hoover up everything this place shoves down my throat.
I'm currently digging an album with 12 votes and will be listening to something with less than 40 in a minute. This on the other hand remains 'on the list' (although it may not be the best example as this should probably be somewhat of a priority).

Well yes haha, there's no way you'd see the likes of Gospel and CTTS in this decade's top 10

Pitchfork... Yep, i've learnt some things off Pitchfork. Like reading a polished written essay-esque nonsense of an album review that has nothing to do with the actual music or... dream pop, yeah, dream pop. We love dream pop, we love, we dream, we pop.
