I still know some 70s revivalist mods. A fella I know refurbed a Lambretta which I have to say is a thing of beauty.

My real life uncle Melvin was part of the original set back in the 60s heading down to Brighton on his scooter, sleeping in his parka and all that. He is in his 70s now and still a geezer. Mental.

Sput doesn't get The Who in the same way it gets other '70s bands like Pink Floyd or Yes. You still see lists here posted about Floyd or Yes all the time, but you very rarely see something posted about The Who, unless it's by one of the handful of us who are currently having this conversation.

perhaps one of the reasons is because their run of classics is of a shorter list

Yeah, I do feel like the likes of (top of my head) The Who, the Grateful Dead, Cream, T. Rex and (maybe) Dire Straits get disproportionally low attention here compared to their prog contemps tbh - I'm personally not wild about any of them aside from the last two, but this site makes it easy to forget how much more digging I left have to do

70s - “You say she’s a virgin well I’m gonna be the first in. Her fellas gonna kill me? Ohhhhhh fuckin will he”

Sput - anxiety issues through the roof

The Who have always had one foot in prog rock, though. Of their top three albums, two were rock operas and one was the remnants of a failed rock opera. They're certainly not just a straight-up rock band in the way that The Rolling Stones are.

Lockdown measures eased so have just done what any proper Brit worth his salt would do.

Fucked work off and went down the local, six pints. Curry House and back now home blasting this thing.

Euphoric.
