Yes my day is lovely! Hope yours is too.
And you do not know what might be up next for them. Might be an all jazz freak-out record with the weirdest grooves in the universe 🌞

"was about to drop this down to a 4 then listened to this thing with headphones. now i might 5 it lol makes a HUGE difference."
Yeah dude, I have over the ear noise canceling Sonys and holy shit, these riffs sounds like mountains are being stomped out by Gods
It's Meshuggah though, so I knew it required the absolute best headphones, at least for the first listen.
In between places so my fucking entire stereo system and record players are currently in storage, but as soon as I move I am playing this vinyl nonstop

Ligature Marks with headphones on actually makes my body wobble, lol.
Definitely benefits from headphones in general though, hypnotic album.

Well I can now credit this album with helping me realize my $300 earbuds suck.

Lol, I never go for earbuds man.
Over the ear headphones ftw.

My current headphones are excellent, but they aren't wireless and need an amp.

He's currently working on another solo project I believe, you can definitely feel his absence in the writing process here.

That's really a shame but on the brightside we may be seeing a new Special Defects album...

Went back to relisten to catch 33 to see if it was better than I remembered. Still don't get the hype. Far and away the most repetitive and simple meshuggah album. No dynamics at all

I can't agree with you there man, in fact I'd argue the opposite haha.

I can appreciate the tremolo guitar atmosphere in parts but it's the same tempo throughout and settles on the same riffs for minutes at a time. And it's the one album where the drums just don't wow me. But I understand it's also programmed if I recall correctly. Probably because it was too boring for him to bother playing it lol

I'm not too sure why Haake wasn't behind the kit for C33 tbh, did he leave the band or?
